Many of our team have worked in Saudi Arabia for over four years on projects that have included biodiversity baseline assessments, socio-economic assessments, wildlife reserve management plans and wildlife reintroductions. CML is currently engaged with the Royal Commission of AlUla (RCU) in developing global best practice wildlife capture, transport and reintroduction standard operating procedures (SOP’s). The CML team is supporting RCU with capacity building and training on their current wildlife reintroductions to the RCU reserves in AlUla.
Our team is actively supporting the World Bank on the development and implementation of wildlife conservation bonds in South Africa and Rwanda. The bonds seek to raise funding using mainstream financial instruments applied as innovative finance models to fund crucial conservation. In South Africa this involves the Rhino Bond and in Rwanda a Chimp Bond.
CML have extensive experience with rangeland management and rehabilitation of degraded landscapes. Our project experience spans multiple countries and habitats from grasslands in Namibia, to an array of overgrazed landscapes across Africa, to the middle East, and all the way back down to South Africa.
Conservation Solutions has more than 25 years of experience in catching and translocating more than 40 wildlife species with many first-ever accolades under their belt. They have been responsible for some of the largest and most complex translocations ever undertaken. With well-protected areas rapidly dwindling, and numerous species on the decline, Conservation Solutions plays a critical role in efforts to maintain and re-establish the biodiversity of many ecosystems.
We are proud to work with Conservation Solutions as part of the CML team. Learn more about their work.
